Hi,

Default kannel encoding is 7-bit ASCII. Some of these are 8-bit characters. To use 8-bit ASCII you need to add:

&coding=1

in your send-url. Bear in mind, that if yu do that, your available SMS length is reduced accordingly (from 160 -> 140 chars).

I use XML Post to send SMS Via kannel.
If i send some of the following characters !"£$%^&*()_+{}@:>?<` `¬`

the SMS i received has ??? for some of the above characters,

Any ideas why?
