Yes.
The update is the genaral serial configuration, that you can copy and adjust
as you want. Additionally check modems.conf. There are many more serial
devices preconfigured.
Basically any serial device is compatible and most USBs, as long as there
are suitable drivers provided (by the OS?) for them.
