Hi i am using kannel a messaging sollution in my application; and this question is in regards of sending OTA settings.
Once after i configure kannel to send sms. I started to configure my kannel instance to send OTA setting. I am able to send OTA settings successfully but the userpin is not identified at mobile phones What should i do; when searching out i got a link http://mobilitydojo.net/2009/06/10/pushing-them-oma-cp-messages-with-kannel/ <http://mobilitydojo.net/2009/06/10/pushing-them-oma-cp-messages-with-kannel/>it is suggesting me to go back to 1.4.1 release; will it be good to go and and use old releases. ------------------ We’ve already got a Kannel server running, but while testing OMA CP I discovered that it wasn’t entirely smooth sailing to get working with what we’ve installed so far. The short story is that you need to compile in support for OpenSSL in your kannel files, and you need to be running Kannel 1.4.1 (as opposed to the newest build which is 1.4.3 as of the present time.) The long story is that SSL is required as a security measure, and the charset has changed from ISO-8859 in 1.4.1 to UTF-8 in 1.4.3. You are of course welcome to work out those bits and get it working on the newest release, but for me it turned out to be a quicker approach to turn to an older version than doing a workaround. here i have coppied the text form above link -------------------- There is a line in my log file, that might be culprit: WARNING: OMA ProvCont: No SSL Support, 'oma-settings' not supported! please any body suggest some pointers where i get get information about why and how i need to configure SSL for sending OTA settings Regards, Vijay Shanker Dubey Ph: +91-9818311884
