Hello all,
when I send sms via a gateway and I use my own mobile phone number as
sender ID, I often encounter a problem with certain mobile phones (for
example many of the Nokia N-Series): The mobile phone does not replace
my sender id, i.e. my mobile number, by the name in the addressbook.
When I sent a message via my actual mobile phone it works perfectly
well. Also people have reported that they were unable to directly
respond to my sms.
I presume that the problem is, that the sms is somehow sent via another
number than the sender id. Some phones seem to use the actual sender and
some my custom sender id. But that's only an assumption.
Has anyone made a similar experience or is this a well known fact ?
I'm looking for a gateway that allows me to send sms just like my mobile
does. Please let me know whether there is a way to fix that problem.
