That should work. You need to pass MSISDN to ppg, and set max-messages to 0. However, since mobile needs to have wap enabled (and suitable SIM) to get the URL, this could be a wap call (map-url) from the start (i.e. no SMS->PPG).
Or you can play MMS with mbuni.
