Hi Alejandro,

Can I force the setting on a connection basis? This would be fine too. They did send a screenshot from the tool they're using. I uploaded the image to imagebin.

I will request some TCP dumps as well, but maybe this already looks familiar to you.

Thanks in advance!

You're correct, Kannel cannot set the message mode on a per-message basis.

Tell your provider to send you a couple of tcp dumps with some examples. Maybe he's referring to another parameter within the smpp pdu's?

Alex

    Hi all,

Another question. According to our SMPP provider, we are sending
messages with different "message mode's". I couldn't find this in
    the user manual.

For a free shortcode, we send them with message mode 3 (store and
forward), and for a MT billed shortcode we send them with message
mode 0 (no idea what that is?).

Problem is that I don't define a message mode at all, anywhere. So
how does Kannel determine in what mode it should send a message? Can
I adjust this with a parameter in sendsms?

In the archives and search I found a few articles that the mode
could only be changed in the source code. Is this still true for the
    latest versions of Kannel?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Roland.
