Hi, I have a query regarding the max-messages field to support long messages for SMS. I have a configuration set up as follows:
# Default group = sms-service keyword = default # text = "ESME Reply" # max-messages = 1 url = "http://10.118.7.121/cgi-bin/as_capture.pl?text=%a&sender=%p&service=%P"; max-messages = 0 group = sendsms-user username = ddelaney password = password #user-deny-ip = "" #user-allow-ip = "" max-messages = 2 concatenation = 1 Currently we are using this configuration for a web-text application which connects to the Kannel gateways. AT the moment, there is a limit of 2 SMS messages i.e. 320 characters. This is being changed to support 3 messages i.e. 480 characters. When I change the parameter above to max-messages=3, it only allows something like 459 characters. I have to change it to max-messages=4 to support 480 characters.
