Is anyone using a Sierra Wireless "Raven XE H2223E-C" modem with Kannel?
This is a USB / Ethernet modem for HSUPA networks.
I have one of these that has a SIM card for AT&T and I need to get it
working. If anyone is using this modem and would like to share their
modem settings, I would really appreciate it. I am new to Kannel and I'm
running on Ubuntu 10.04. I'm a long time Linux user.
I'm able to talk to the modem via ethernet and virtual USB ethernet (it
has both). Some of the AT commands can be gleaned from the AceManager
but I don't know what APN type to use or what init string to use, i.e.
the "real" stuff. I'm scratching at this point and Google or the Sierra
Wireless docs haven't been much help. The modem is able to get an IP
address from AT&T and the AceManager shows a network type of HSPA so I
am connected to AT&T..
I also have PuTTY setup so I can talk to the modem directly and run AT
commands. I get a return of "Raven XE HSUPA" for an ATI command.
I do have Kannel running and the smsbox is talking to the bearerbox. I'm
trying to use a "device = rawtcp" in my smsc group. Probably not worth
posting my config or logs yet.
