Hi,
This is rather trivial to implement with kannel. You just need a configured
kannel, running and ready to send SMS (connected to an SMSc or a phone). You
then have to call kannel's sendsms web interface from tomcat with the text
you want and the destination mobiles you need. For more information read

Hello altogether!
Unfortunately I am very new to the themes SMS and kannel.
My task is developing a checkin/out process for a tomcat web app by
sending an SMS.
For example a person is starting his/her work, sending an SMS to a
special number with a special text and therefore the web database is
getting an update with a timestamp. The same procedure for the finishing
of work.
Can anybody help with some ideas to develop it?
