I do not have experience with ethernet modems but with
terminal/console servers. I've tested in Lan environement with no
problems. I did also do some successfully tests in a Wan environement
but with low traffic.
I remember someone (Elton Hoxha?) on the list that was trying to make
them work and had an issue with a password required by the ethernet
protocol. I think a patch was issued. There should be something in the
list archive.
