well I already had printed the user guide and used it to setup Kannel. my config right now is as simple as it comes - I set the modems group to auto and did an include "etc/kannel/modems.conf" (yes, I moved the modems.conf file over!) bearerbox recognizes the modem as a wavecom loads the drivers. my problem is when bearerbox starts giving the AT commands to get the modem ready for sms; my modem doesn't use +CMGF.
with +CMEE turned on, I get +CME ERROR:3 when I run +CMGF? which means the command isn't supported. My modem sends sms without needing to go into text mode. (CDMA) I read last night from Kannel's status page that bearerbox doesn't support SMS over CDMA currently - is this true? are there any workarounds?
