That message on your phone seems some encoding problem! Check your encoding!
Try send it to some other phone!

Here it goes a tip!
Well man, after a quick reading on all your emails, It seams that your
purpose is to send and store messages, dlr, in a database for further
needs. What about making a application (php has you said)  that would have
some kind of input for user to send messages. Than your app. would store
that message in a mysql database (for your needs). After your app would send
messages to kannel with the http interface and kannel would deliver to your
app all DLR's! You also could store all DLR's and relate them with your
message!
No need for SQLbox, parsing logs, and all that workaround! That's my cent ;)
