Hello,

I am trying to do the following thing but i am not sure how this can be done
or is it possible at all.

I am using GSM modem provided my one of our country's telecom operator. i
can send message and can also receive message. one month ago when i used to
send SMS, in the receiver's mobile, the sender id (from where the message
came) showed the number of the SIM installed in the GSM modem. right now it
is fixed to a text "Internet", I have checked through another gateway
(Australian one) that if i set the sender it to my branding, it comes to my
mobile nicely, but when i try to set "from" or "my-number" in kannel, that
doesn't come in the mobile number, instead it comes as "Internet". I want to
instead of "Internet" it should be "Company A" or "Company B". how can i do
this? is there any suggestion for this? is it possible at all? is my mobile
operators blocking such customization? if so, then how i can receive it
properly when sent from a foreign SMS gateway? is there a work around to
this in case i am blocked to do so? does anyone solved this issue? I just
found that if i have to try some foreign SMS gateway than using kannel
becomes meaningless as the price will be very high. I saw some people are
using clickatell as a SMSC with kannel, but i thought clickatell is itself a
gateway so what is the benefit of using it with kannel.

I will be very greatful if i can get answer to my questions. sorry for my
poor English, but i am in deep need of help in this as i want to do
something special for my country and i am not getting help from my mobile
operators that much being a startup.

Thanks in advance.
