Well... if you send messages through the send_sms table and do not need to call 
the dlr-url, then indeed smsbox does nothing.
You can safely connect sqlbox without any smsbox involved and be happy sending 
messages.

Hello Neo, I recommend you to read a little bit more, the smsbox is incharge to 
send messages through a smsc(Short message Service Center), and connects to the 
bearerbox which is the core of the software, the sqlbox is used mostly for 
reports from the smsbox, is not going to do much if the smsbox is not 
connected, because the sqlbox saves the reports of all the messages sent, 
received, and more.
