Hello friends, how are you? I've been using Kannel with a Huawei USB modem as SMSC and it works fine.
Now I'm trying to use an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) as SMSC. With my Android Galaxy, I don't have problems to SEND SMS messages, it is working fine. However when I receive SMS messages nothing happens, no message in the logs. Looks like Kannel does not "see" when the Android phone receives a SMS. I already tried sim-buffering = true and message-storage = sm and me, nothing worked. I did not find any useful configuration in the phone that could help, so now I'm wondering if it is possible to use Android phones as SMSC. Please, does anybody ever used an Android phone as SMSC? Is there any trick? Thanks a lot. Renato.
