Hi Alvaro

I am not sure about the patch but its been a while so it is likely these
things do happen.

Ok, for the sake of forensics..

Is it possible for the bearer box to die because:

1. The Gsm modem is faulty
2. The telco signal drops off
3. The server loads becomes usually high, like 100% usage
4. The firewall config has changed
If I am running an old version, is it possible to upgrade kannel so that
only the latest version is running?

Thank you very much.

Thanks and regards,

Peter

Hi

smsbox requires bearerbox up and running to work; else it will panic.

Check bearerbox log to see why it died/restarting.

What have you -someone else- changed before the issue appeared? maybe
applied a patch/upgrade a library/OS/app? Usually things don't happen "just
like that"

Regards

Alvaro
