Since it seems that your problem was related with the sysctl configuration, I'm going to update the README file to clarify this to future users. In general, LISPmob users should have rp_filter disabled and IP forwarding enabled in their /etc/sysctl.conf files. Right now this is only mention in the OpenWRT section. Regarding the latency impact, the LISP paradigm induces some minimal latency (due to the encap-decap process), but the latency increment you are facing is mostly because of the use of proxies. The path to reach non-LISP sites goes through a PETR and a PITR. You should see less latency increment when pinging LISP sites.
