CHIRP doesn't focus on digital radio support, but it can program some aspects 
of some digital radios as I recall (analog channels).

If you want to get support for a particular radio the first step is to reach 
out to the developers and ask by posting a request.

If they are willing to support the radio they may ask for a radio to use for 
development.

The steps for querying the developers (opening a ticket) is documented on the 
chirpmyradio website.
