This is Fake News. Please do not make such unfounded assertions. That sort of 
behavior _is_ unwelcome on this list, much like claiming CSV files don't work 
with CHIRP.

Many of us deal with CSV files in CHIRP _all_the_time_. The problem with 
editing CSV files in an external application is that CSV is an encoding *not* a 
file format and things like spreadsheets will happily change the formatting in 
a way that makes the files no longer compatible with CHIRP.

Please file a bug, attach the file in question and I will tell you if it's a 
CHIRP bug (in which case I will fix it) or how you've broken the format so 
maybe you can avoid it.
