It sure seems to me like the IC-E92D is the European version of the IC-92D, but that doesn't mean they communicate the same.
So, Apostolos, can you download and install WireShark on your computer (I'm assuming you're running Windows)? If so, you can optionally install USBPcap, and capture USB traffic. Run RS-92 and capture the traffic, then run Chirp and capture the traffic. See where the difference is. That would probably point out where the problem lies.
