1) How many radios are you talking about? 2) Are they all the same make & model? 3) Are they all supported by CHIRP? 4) What "settings" are you referring to?
If all of the radios are supported, rather than being concerned about how each one is currently programmed, focus on how you want them all to end up. How each one is currently programmed is totally irrelevant. Create a "master image" of what you want and use that to simply reprogram each radio. A maximum of five minutes per radio and they are all done, no muss no fuss.
