Been using my Yaesu/Vertex VXA-700 with their CE56 program and cable and would like to use it with CHIRP. Using a Windows 10PC with all drivers up to date. When I try to use CHIRP (next ver.) with the radio, the program "sees" the radio but will not upload or download. If I power off the radio and restart it while connected to CHIRP I get an error message on the CHIRP screen. If I power up the radio and connect to CHIRP it does nothing but stay connected. When using the CE56 program I had to restart the rig while connected to the PC and it immediately went into programming mode and started to transfer data to the program. If I do that in CHIRP I get the error message mentioned above. Is there a button on the VXA-700 or a key stoke on the PC that needs to be done to get the up/down load process started. All the settings (rig. Port etc) in CHIRP are correct.
