1) Take any laptop/PC with apache server running on a wired network. Note
the ip address.
2) Make a folder appropriately named (fedora9/opensuse11 etc) in the web
root (/var/www/html for fedora or /srv/www/htdocs for opensuse)
3)Take the *.iso file for the disribution. Mount it to the newly created
folder using this command : *mount* file.iso /var/www/html/fedora9 -t
iso9660 -o loop
4)Now you have the installation server ready. Now get a Fedora/openSUSE DVD
from somewhere.
5) Pop it in. Let the installer start. In the Installation Source option
select http . You may find some errors like "No Updates Found" etc... but
dont worry. Just go ahead.
6) In the http server put the IP address of the server on the lan. In the
directory, put /fedora9 . Thats all. rest is all normal installation stuff.

You need one working DVD (it should boot atleast) a switch, and lan wires.
