There are two requisites for this:

1. Learn Ruby:

There are plenty of online Ruby tutorials. Try this for a start:

2. Learn Ruby on Rails:

I'd recommend getting the following book:

Timothy Fisher. Ruby on Rails. Wiley.

As you read, try the examples, hands-on, before a computer. If you
