I have already attempted to learn Emacs in previous years multiple times and have always got back to using nano/micro in the terminal
or using geany/atom/gedit on the GUI.

I have missed all the previous GNU Emacs series you have taken and I might miss the one tomorrow as well, as It falls during my office hours.
I read about you taking the series on GNU Emacs on the IRC channel.

So four days back I just gave a search for Emacs on YouTube just before sleeping and I came across this particular video. [1]

and It re-ignited my interest in Emacs.
This time I decided to give a few weeks dedicated to Emacs.
As Yoda says

*“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” - Yoda

*So I make sure to use Emacs whenever I can.

**so I took a few tutorials from YouTube and also the default tutorial which is there when you start Emacs.

It is a bit of thing to learn all these new shortcuts.

I also printed out the GNU Emacs reference card [2] and I keep this at my work desk and carry another print with me all the times which I keep reading during my travels.

I have been using it for a few days now and the experience so far has been a mix of good and bad things.

//*I understand that learning new habits and forgetting the old one will take some time. And I understand that all this effort will pay off in the long term.

I just wanted to say thanks to you for taking the series, even though I wont be attending it, but I hope more people will discover GNU Emacs because of your efforts.

Cheers,
