But before I try to change MPP, I will change the way emails are handled:

There is a linux gateway in front of the email server and I will install Djigzo 
there. 
The only disadvantage is, that I have to setup a cronjob to copy the 
fetchmailrc from the server to the gateway because our client changes the email 
accounts quite often.
But that's easier than messing around with MPP.
