The templates are sender based, i.e., a template can be set for a sender but not for a recipient. The templates can be changed for every individual sender, for a domain or for the global system settings. Not sure what the limit of the template is. I think the limit might be set by the edit field of you browser. The template is stored in the database and the limit from the database perspective is almost unlimited. What template sizes are you thinking of?
