Yes that should be possible although normally this should not be needed.

Before changing the timeout, it might be a good idea to enable debugging 
for the wrapper. It might tell us more

Just add

wrapper.debug=TRUE

to the file /usr/share/djigzo/wrapper/djigzo.wrapper.conf

and then restart djigzo

You will now see the ping's to the JVM and hopefully some more 
information about why it restarts.
