Just to make it clear for a Fedora newbie, as the root user, run the
command:
dnf install subversion subversion-libs
That should install both subversion (a.k.a. svn) and its support
libraries (for tools that use svn internally). The subversion-libs bit
may not be necessary for what you're doing, but if you have the disk
space it doesn't hurt to install it.
