Using dnf -y install broadcom0wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm

This is normally a temporary condition that clears up on a second run. And/or

a "clean metadata".
well, I do not know when it will clear up, because the package is not installed.

At any rate, I obtained a fresh thumb drive which does not corrupt the files I copy to it
and transport to the new machine.

So, this is what I am getting:
# ls *.rpm
akmods-0.5.6-10.fc27.noarch.rpm broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm rpmfusion-free-release-27.noarch.rpm akmod-wl-6.30.223.271-14.fc27.x86_64.rpm kmod-wl-6.30.223.271-14.fc27.x86_64.rpm rpmfusion-nonfree-release-27.noarch.rpm

# rpm -ivh *.rpm

So, it seems that I am up against a situation that cannot be solved unless I somehow connect the new machine to the internet. And that would be via the ethernet port. I have no internet at home. I am trying to solve this problem using public wifi, copying the rpms to thumb drive, and going to the new machine and try to install them.

I am disappointed that f27 is released without support for brcm wifi and perhaps even ethernet
chipsets. But this is the situation with "non-free".
