A proper bug report takes a bit of work, but not nearly as
much as building sagemath from sources.

Building a new version of sagemath can be a lot of work determining
and installing appropriate versions of tools and libraries.  A bug report
may get you a much easier fix, and may help others who encounter
the same problem.
