I've been using the same personal address since internet reached the city where I lived (3 decades). My address ended up in the ghostscript documentation, so has been harvested by spammers many times. There were a few times that spam messages were coming faster than I could delete them, so incoming mail was bouncing, but I was also getting legitimate requests for help with ghostscript issues. My collection of spam messages was useful to tweak filters. One note: I do look at Reply-To header lines. Most of the spam I get does not have Reply-To header lines, but perhaps some upstream filter is blocking messages where the Reply-To address is suspicious. -- George N. White III
