also ext2 -> ext3 and ext3 -> exr2 should be easy.
ext2,ext3 -> ext4 sorta -- https://ext4.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Ext4_Howto
ext4 -> ext3 maybe not ( extents not being backwards compatitable)
