I can recommend Claws-mail (https://claws-mail.org/) which works very nicely and Fedora has 4.x branch with modern version of Fancy plugin rendering HTML messages when needed. For my contacts & calendars I use Evolution (although Thunderbird could do the job a well) and they are synced with my Android phones (via DAVx) app and Baikal server which I host on my own. From time to time, I export e.g. CardDav addressbook from Evolution as *.vcf files and connect it with the Claws in order to have my contacts available in Claws' completion.
