I need to do some more BIOS configuration.  But when I push the button
on the top of the case, I never see a "POST" screen.  Rather, the F-42
login screen appears quite quickly.  I checked the motherboard's
manuals.  They say to push the "Delete" key after pushing the power
button on top of the case.  Doing that seems to have no effect.  Neither
does "Enter" nor "End" nor "F12".

The motherboard is a Gigabyte "B650 GAMING X AX V2 (rev. 1.x)".
Manuals can be accessed here:

How do I get into BIOS?
Manual says the Delete Key is correct Key to Press? Did you try
both the one usually at top of keyboard and one on numeric
keypad.

Question. Does it boot normall if you do nothing? Or does it stay at
black screen.

Things it could be.
1. Power supply has gone bad on one or more voltage lines.
If you have access to a power supply tester, or have another power
supply.
2. Sometimes the CMOS battery has gone too low, and the CMOS
has gotten scrambled. Replace Battery, and use the motherboard
cmos reset option to reset it to default values.
3. Other things like reseating the memory, and sometimes taking a
pencil eraser lightly over to clean connection to make them clean
and bright.

Hope something here or from others might help.
As I hope you saw later in the thread, the problem was solved by shifting the keyboard's cord to a different USB port.

By the way, the keyboard and the motherboard are new.
