        Oddly, I hadn't thought of that. Yesterday most of my browsers on 
the current problem machine launched but couldn't connect; two or three 
couldn't even launch. So I was very hesitant, but tried dnf upgrade 
anyway. Lo and behold, it not only connected, but fixed itself with the 
updates it got! Blessed be the developers!
