I've had a problem for some considerable time that I don't know
the jargon for. Apologies in advance!
For lots of years, I've run three or four machines behind a KVM
switch, configured as nearly alike as is feasible. To keep straight, I
give each a background picture different from the others, and keep my
windows (especially the ones with terminals) centered but =smaller= than
the background, and change them seldom.
Recent releases have been making this difficult. Whenever one side
of a window gets near an edge of the display, it jumps to that edge.
How do I turn this off? I don't even know its name, if it has one.
