Hello everyone,
I am writing to report an issue I'm having with my laptop. Unfortunately, I cannot provide more specific details as the logs don't show any obvious errors.

The issue:
If I leave my laptop idle and the desktop locks, the system hangs after a few minutes.

Hardware:
Dell Latitude 7650

OS:
Fedora 42 (fully updated, including BIOS)

Observations:
This behavior started occurring after a recent kernel and BIOS update.
I tried booting with an older kernel, but the problem persists. This leads me to believe it might be related to the BIOS or a non-kernel component. If I disable the screen lock, or if I manually put the system to sleep or hibernation, everything seems to work fine.

Logs:
There are no relevant logs in the journal. Running journalctl -b -1 simply shows the last action before the freeze with no subsequent entries.
In dmesg, I found the following:
systemd-hibernate-clear.service - Clear Stale Hibernate Storage Info was skipped because of an unmet condition check...
However, I suspect this is unrelated to the hang.

What does "hangs" mean in this case?
Did it go to sleep?
Can you ssh to it from another computer?
