Hi All,

As Windows 11 has become a security and privacy nightmare
and is being banned all over the place where sensitive
information is involved, migrating to Fedora has become
a hot topic around my circles.

Fedora's big deal killer is QuickBooks Desktop.

Is the ANY alternative to it?  And it MUST support
both payroll and inventory.
Could this help?

If you actually need quickbooks maybe Wine would meet your needs?

Migrating from QB to something else is a real pain. Easy to get started w/QB, a nightmare to get out of and keep all your historical data. There are companies that will do it for you.

One option: use QB Online. I never tried it.

Another option: run it in a Windows VM. I run it in a Windows 11 VMware VM.

QB now forces you to pay a yearly subscription or lose access to any data. It won't open after the subscription expires (or at least that's what I saw). Forget that. I went back to QB 2019, since it's the last version not requiring a yearly subscription.
