Different country keyboard layout? (So what you think you're typing in one spot is actually different when typed in elsewhere.) I suppose you could try setting a completely numerical password to test that in a simple manner. Are you logging into a terminal or graphical desktop? At times when I couldn't log in, it was due to a wonky key on my keyboard. *SOMETIMES* it *IS* very handy to be able to see what you're typing when entering passwords (especially when setting them, and sometimes when logging in). -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 (yes, this is the output from uname for this PC when I posted) Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
