Subject: DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 Version 20.3.1 Build 6 Support on Fedora
Workstation 43

Good day from Singapore,

According to Blackmagic Design Cloud official website, it mentioned that the
minimum system requirements for Linux operating systems is Rocky Linux 8.6 or
CentOS 7.3.

Can I still install and use DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 non-linear video editing
software (NLE) on Fedora Workstation 43 with full GPU hardware acceleration?

Which NVIDIA GeForce RTX Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) should I buy? I want to
use AI Magic Mask - Person mode for AI subject isolation / rotoscoping in 4K
UHD 3840 x 2160 videos.

My intention is to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to keep only the female
model in the 4K video and remove everyone else (including their faces and
bodies) from the 4K video. And of course the background will be removed as well
unless I use 2 layers. But processing 2 layers with AI neural engine is
extremely time consuming, which may take days. The entire audio track will be
muted as well.

My intention to use AI subject isolation / rotoscoping is to comply with
European privacy laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR).

As I am the poorest man in the whole world living in extreme poverty for the
past 47 years of my life, I would like to purchase NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics
cards using Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) like Atome or Grab PayLater with minimum
of 3 monthly installments and up to 12 monthly installments. I bought my vivo
X100 Pro 5G flagship Android phone on 19 Dec 2025 Friday using Grab PayLater
with 4 monthly installments of SGD$153.

My present entry level MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU with 4 GB VRAM (video
RAM) is too cheap and could not handle the AI workflow and workload.

DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 alone would cost SGD$408.75 inclusive of GST
(one-time purchase life time perpetual license).

I am now evaluating / trying out DaVinci Resolve Studio for SGD$42 per month
using Cloud Rental License before committing to the full purchase of the video
editing software.

Another consideration would be Adobe After Effects with monthly USD$20 to
USD$30 subscription.

I am looking forward to your advice.

Thank you very much.
