I already had a saved email with an attachment, and when I ask to save it it offers to use a different directory that I'm using as the default dir in Firefox. Anyway, I found this was reported 2 months ago: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2007074
I'm on Thunderbird Nightly V149 and for me that folder was created on Sunday 21 December 2025, and at the moment nothing has been done to remove it. I deleted it manually and a restart of Thunderbird re-created that folder, so the bug raised against V147 has yet to be rectified.
