You could ask over on the rpmfusion mailing list is the maintainers of 3rd party virtualbox know of a fix yet. If you want to migrate to kvm maybe start a new topic and ask for help in migrating. I personally converted vmware images to kvm a while ago, hopefully the migrate from virtbox is no harder.
