It has been decades since I last had something like this.  Back on EXP3 and Centos 3; I think.  Long before journalctl.

Sigh.

And the only thing I don't have is my F44install.txt file, which was an update of my F41install.txt file.  Well there were few changes.

By any chance, were you also simultaneously trying to drain the batteries in order to make them healthy, as recommended by some graybeard on the intertubes?

No I was back on AC after charging the battery and then running it down to 5%.  And it was fully charged again and on AC when this happened.
