Unless you use a custom allocation you have to be careful not to install to
many packages.

I just installed F44 on this system (iMac 14,2), using the default
lvm+xfs.  Once the basic system
was working I expanded the lvm to use the full drive and then XFS to use
the added space.

The LVM was /dev/fedora, so, as described in <
https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_enterprise_linux/6/html/logical_volume_manager_administration/lv_extend

 I used "# lvextend -l +100%FREE  /dev/fedora" to use the full size of my
SSD, then "# xfs_resize -d /dev/fedora" to use the the full size of the
volume..
