I just noticed that "gnome-software" has a release upgrade
option.
Anyone successfully use it?
That's been around for a long time. It does the dnf offline upgrade
and yes, it works.
Thank you!
I used gnome software to upgrade a lady from 38 to 40. She
is getting a kernel panic.
Was the upgrade complete?
Is it crashing at boot or while running?
The upgrade did its thing at boot, then it rebooted.
The kernel panic happened just after the grub kernel
selection.
I did ran the gnome software upgrade remotely. I
have noticed on my own machines certain grub kernels
do the same thing. I would tell her to select
a different kernel, but she has tremors in her
hands and can barely type her password. She also
gets upset when she has to read me error messages
to me. (Q. What did it say. A. I donot know.)
