Hello All,

I have been fighting with the sound on my Acer Aspire TimelineX
3820TG. The alsa-info script detects that I'm running Alsa 1.0.23 with
the snc_hda_intel module with Pulse-Audio. The sound card is seen as a
HDA-Intel

lspci says:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset
High Definition Audio (rev 05)
02:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc Manhattan HDMI Audio
[Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series]

The codec is:

Codec: Realtek ALC271X
Address: 0
Function Id: 0x1
Vendor Id: 0x10ec0269
Subsystem Id: 0x10250364
Revision Id: 0x100100
No Modem Function Group found
Default PCM:
    rates [0x560]: 44100 48000 96000 192000
    bits [0xe]: 16 20 24
    formats [0x1]: PCM
Default Amp-In caps: N/A
Default Amp-Out caps: N/A

I'm getting everything right, the system detects things, and even seems
to play, but I get no sound, either on internal speakers or headphones.
I have checked the mixer volumes, and everything seems right, but still
no sound. This worked fine on Fedora 13. Google may be my friend, but I
tried everything that I found there and got nowhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
