F15 and latest Libreoffice. Download a doc file off internet and Save it as a doc file .
Open the same doc file with Libreoffice and Edit and then Save as a doc file.
BUT !! , When libreoffice opens that same doc file again, It opens it with Calc (Spreadsheet) instead of with Writer (Word processor)
