and by the way:

"Got dependency: rpmdevtools, so downloaded that and unpacked it to:
rpmdevtools-6.4, whihc is still in Download directory" is bullshit
on any distro because the package manager is not interested in
randomly unpacked archives because it is a package manager

so maybe you should first read the manuals how to use the package
manager at all before think about building packages for it
