That is a start. For ethernet interfaces, you should also send a DHCP release on poweroff. You have a script for that?

But if you actively move around between boots, you may want to do this more regularly. For example you are on a university campus and moving from AP to AP. You might want to change MAC addresses for each AP ASSOCIATE so that your campus movements cannot be tracked.


Doh.  No, I didn't think about the DHCP release.  I just cobbled this
together back in the Fedora 14 days and it seemed to work. The only problem I had was that it broke when systemd reared it's head, so I had
to learn how to play with that...

Hmmm... I don't even know how to test to see if I've changed access
points.  How do I do that?
